Certain things within some of my fandoms have been bothering me for a while, but now I can actually put it into words.
I’m doing a separate entry on Revolution, now that it’s been canceled. I didn’t get to watch Once Upon A Time on Sunday,so I watched it today.
Once Upon A Time: DAMNIT! They ruined a perfect finale by screwing over two ships that already have tension. Swan Queen is over and Emma ruined Outlaw Queen. The press and attention for the couple was buildup, all so that it ends before it barely started. The fact that Frozen is the next tale is really, really annoying.
That being said,it really was perfect. Emma embraced her role and her family, she stopped being afraid of her magic and she saw how much Hook loves her. There really hasn’t been much focus on her and a great article described it perfectly. Even if I’m mad about Rumple lying to Belle and betraying her trust, their wedding was beautiful. Snowing was perfect when we saw it through Emma’s eyes. Also, they finally brought Katherine back, which is just awesome.
Silicon Valley: This show continues to be made of awesome. Maybe because it’s the first season or maybe because it’s HBO, I don’t know. I can recognize and relate to all of the characters and their references. My favorites so far are Jared and Dinesh. I don’t know why, but they amuse me.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Epic. Coulson is in charge now,Ward didn’t get redeemed or glorified, Mike was finally free, Mei kicked Ward’s ass and Fitz and Simmons lived. He finally told her how he feels and Fury making an appearance was icing on the cake. I’m wondering if the parent holding the picture of Skye is her mother or father, but it doesn’t matter. The show had a lot of funny moments and Garrett’s death was awesome. I hope that Skye is cyber-kinetic. It’s a natural fit for her and so is technopathy.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Man…all of those people who were into Ward/Skye must be so pissed. I couldn’t be more pleased and his character has always bored me. He’s the last person they’d ever think of as a traitor, but there he was. This episode was cool and not all shows handle a ship having issues like this.
Maria Hill needs to show up more and she was awesome. I hope that Coulson is in the Avengers movie. Him being the one behind Tahiti was bullshit, though. It was boring, anticlimactic and not worth the effort. Fitz, just tell Simmons how you feel. Even Ward the traitor thinks you should hustle.
Revolution: I did not expect this. I figured Tom would die in this episode after an emotional scene with Charlie. I wish that they had shown more flashbacks and less of everyone poking and prodding. She just had to do something god-awful and needs time to process shit.
Rachel is such a whore. I loved Ben’s ghost yelling at Miles and I wonder how they’d both feel if they knew that she slept with Bass, too. She can snark and protest all she wants, but she had consensual sex with the man she loves’s bro. First she sleeps with two brothers and now two bros? Bass broke the bro code, but Rachel broke the ho code.
I wish Priscilla would go away. The nanites are a pain in the ass,Aaron is an island character and they’ve made him useless. I don’t get why he even gives a fuck about Miles. Miles sure as hell doesn’t care about him. He usually gets dismissed and only Charlie and Rachel give a shit.
Charlie and Connor is just gross. he’s not good enough,he can’t take care of her and he has no game whatsoever. Tom should kill him in the next episode, but we all know Tom is the one who’s going to die.
I really had meant to break this up, but I guess life keeps you too busy. Here they are:
Ressurection: I was freaked out at the end. The trailer seems like Rachel’s face is intact, but I really doubt they won’t hit her. It’s gross and she’s still pregnant, even if she’s come back from the dead. Also, the hostility towards Jacob is even worse. He’s a little boy,so what the hell is he going to do? Grief doesn’t give you the right to rape, murder, kidnap or hurt anyone. That guy is a jackass and won’t even let the authority handle things themselves.
NIH was interesting, but ultimately, Bellamy is right: They’ll all become lab rats. The guy seemed earnest and his theory was substantial, but he has bosses and people to answer to. Mobs have no logic and Janine shouldn’t have fallen prey to manipulations. It’s a classic trope, though. It did work and I’m wondering what Tom’s next step is. I love that Jacob and Henry have finally reconnected. Even if he winds up being a clone or zombie or sorts, he’s still his son. It’s a second chance and he needed to look at it differently. I’m also amused by all the flirting, jealousy and relationship drama. I don’t care, but I thought that the shipper stuff would start later on.
Once Upon A Time: This episode cracked me up. Blackbeard stole the Jolly Roger? Charming let Henry drive his truck? It was hilarious and I think that Hook could take Blackbeard. Using a real pirate was weird, though. They could have used any other fictional pirate, but they didn’t. Ariel amused me and and Joanna Garcia is one of the most accurate characters on the show. She perfected Ariel in every way and fighting for Eric was totally in character for her. Zalena really is devious and the fact that Ariel showed up as a mermaid didn’t make anyone suspicious, even if Ariel arrived with legs the first time she came to Storybrooke.
Hook is awesome and Henry bonding with him is awesome. Even if I wasn’t into Captain Swan,I’d still like it. Henry needs someone to talk to and Snow and Charming aren’t in a place where they can have adventures like they did in FTL. Henry is comfortable around Regina and Hook because Regina can grasp that he’s not her little boy anymore-He’s 12. Really, the shipper moments were what made this episode. Ariel/Eric, SwanQueen, Captain Swan and Snowing. I can’t wait until next week and Regina saying Emma had potential made me smile.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: This episode was pretty cool, even if this clairvoyant thing is a disappointment. Reina is a great villain and she’s more gray than “The Clairvoyant”. Ward’s cover was great, but I think he’ll either join the team for real or he’ll die trying to save them. He’s clearly angry about what happened to Skye and even if he knows that she’ll leave him once the truth comes out, he’s still trying to win her over. It’s kind of sad and Skye being the wild card really does complicate things. I know she won’t die since she’s a protagonist of sorts, but she could easily get injured.
I finally watched Agents of Shield and Once Upon A Time, but since Revolution is on hiatus for two weeks, I’ll review last week’s episode. Also, starting next week, I’m going to do my reviews day by day instead.
